What are E-Export Supports?

E-Export subsidies are incentives and aids offered to support foreign e-commerce activities carried out by Turkish businesses electronically, i.e. over the internet. These supports are provided to increase Turkey's foreign trade volume, increase the competitiveness of businesses and enable them to participate more effectively in international markets.

What is the Importance of E-Export Supports?

It is important for companies to provide financial resources by reducing cost items such as advertising, promotion, fullfilment, warehouse rental and marketplace commission in order to gain sustainable competitive advantage in the long-term brand building process.

For these reasons, E-Export Supports are important for Turkish businesses to increase their global competitiveness and export potential and contribute to the country's export-led growth.

Who Can Benefit from E-Export Supports?

Limited or joint stock companies that have a registered trademark in Turkey and have applied for registration of the relevant trademark abroad can benefit from these supports if they manufacture Turkish products belonging to their trademark or procure these products from domestic suppliers.

In order for the expenditures made by the company or branches of the companies operating abroad to benefit from the support within the scope of the decision, there must be an organic connection between the company in Turkey or abroad.

Membership to the exporters' association is required.

It is mandatory for them to register with DYS. They must update their Central Registry Registration System (MERSIS) records and indicate the sector information (NACE code) in which they operate correctly and completely.

Notify the Turkish Trade Registry Gazette, signature circular, DYS System Usage Undertaking, foreign shareholding rate information and related updates to the exporter association of which it is a member

In order for the product subject to support to be considered as a Turkish product, all or part of the production process must be carried out in Turkey

GTIN information is required for products belonging to the brands within the scope of the Support Program

The domestic registration certificate and the foreign registration application for the trademark of the products subject to the support must be in the name of the applicant or the company with organic ties. The foreign registration application must have been filed in at least one of the countries that are parties to the Madrid System (Madrid Agreement on the international registration of trademarks and the Protocol to this Agreement) of the World Intellectual Property Organization (WIPO).

What are the Supports?

Marketplace commission expenses in target countries realized through foreign marketplaces are supported for 3 (three) years and at a rate of 50%. An additional 20% support is applied in the target countries specified in the Circular.

Marketplace Commission Expense Support

Expenses related to fulfillment services that do not exceed 10% of total e-commerce sales in the relevant country are supported at a rate of 50%.

Digital Advertising and Promotion Support

Digital marketplace promotion expenses that do not exceed 20% of the total sales returned through digital advertising (PPC) through foreign marketplaces are supported at a rate of 50%. An additional 20% support is applied in the target countries specified in the Circular.

Advertising Cost of Sales Ratio (ACOS) and Advertising Conversion Coefficient (ROAS) are taken into account in the calculation of the beneficiary's total sales generated through digital advertising in foreign marketplaces. These ratios are maximum 20% for ACOS and minimum 5 (five) for ROAS.

Example; The company has a sales turnover of 40 thousand USD from advertising by spending 10 thousand USD in the Amazon USA Marketplace in a 3-month period. Therefore ACOS: 40%. At this point, 70% of a maximum ceiling amount of 8 thousand USD will be within the scope of support.

Trademark Registration Support (Export Supports)

Expenses of companies for the registration and protection of their trademarks abroad, for which they have a domestic trademark registration certificate, are supported at a rate of 50% and up to 750,000 TL per year.

Companies can benefit from support for trademark registration and protection for a maximum of 4 years.

  • Trademark/patent office service, consultancy expenses related to the registration of the trademark abroad, all mandatory expenses related to the research, examination, attorneyship to be made regarding whether the trademark is registered in the name of another company in that country
  • Legal expenses related to the protection of trademarks registered abroad
  • In order for a foreign trademark registration application to be supported, it is sufficient to have filed a foreign trademark registration application.
  • In the foreign trademark registration activities to be supported; In case of the use of expressions, symbols, shapes, signs or country and city names that show the country of origin differently in a way that damages the image of Turkish Goods, the related expenses are not evaluated within the scope of the support.
  • The domestic registration and the foreign trademark registration application must be in the name of the same company and the first registration must have taken place in Turkey.
